Charcos de Las Canteras

Description

Inside the Bahía del Confital, stretching for more than two kilometers, Las Canteras beach is the hallmark of the capital Gran Canaria. Its blond sand, its puddles and its waves, serve as a rest and escape from the incessant hustle and bustle of the city. From the horizon, beyond the bar that shelters it, the distant Teide that greets it and at its extreme northwest, with the mountains in the background, the Alfredo Kraus Auditorium, the fortress that protects it and the lighthouse that guides it, according to its architect’s own words, Óscar Tusquets.
